The importance of notifying your works
As part of the robustness of the BESCA VHE scheme, we carry out monthly ongoing surveillance checks of our approved VHE members, to ensure your business continues to meet the requirements of the VHE scheme and TR19®.
The monthly surveillance selection comprises of the following:
Monthly DTA on up to 5% of registered works
Audit sample will be randomly selected by the VHE system
VHE Approved members will then be requested to upload PCVRs for each of the randomly selected works
DTA carried out on notified works and associated PCVR to ensure compliance with TR19®
DTA report issued identifying any remedial actions or confirming compliance with TR19®
BESCA will assist you with any remedial actions required until the requirements of TR19® are met
No matter how big or small the job is, you MUST notify. If you don't notify all works, you will be suspended from the VHE scheme.
If you don't notify all works, you are misleading clients into thinking they have had their ductwork cleaned to TR19® standard. If a fire was to occur at your client's premises, not only would your business's reputation be damaged but if there is no proof of the ductwork being cleaned to TR19® on the VHE system their business's insurance might not pay out.
The VHE Scheme is about doing right by our industry and we only want the best of the best in our scheme.
It costs £0.75p per notification, is this cost really worth risking the reputation of your business, your clients, their customers and the industry?
Notifying your work is quick and simple, and can be done by logging into your VHE members' area.
